Unkal Lake:

Unkal Lake is beautiful water spot in Hubli & is about 110 years old. This lake is spread across 200 acres of land. Centre of the lake is situated the statue of Swami Vivekananda which is the prime attraction of the lake.

Nrupatunga Hill:

One of the most popular spots in the town, Nrupatunga Hill serves as a picnic spot for the citizens of Hubli-Dharwad and tourists alike. The hillock provides a panoramic view of the entire cityscape amidst a green and serene atmosphere. It is a very beautiful place, ideal for bird watching and trekking.

Chandramouleshwar Temple:

On the banks of the Unkal lake beside the Nrupatunga Hills in the Hubli-Dharwad city is a 900-year-old temple of Chandramouleshwara. Lord Shiva is the deity of the temple. The temple has marvelous sculptures that attract any art lover. Due to its archeological importance, the temple is preserved under the Archeological Survey of India under the Act 1958 on Ancient Monuments and Archaeological sites.

Siddharooda Math:

Swami Sidharoodha is known to have been a famous spiritual leader during the times of the independence struggle. The Siddharoodha Math is an excellent shrine that features a marble statue of Swami Sidharoodha. It is a beautifully carved marble statue and a prime attraction of this renowned shrine.

Moorusaviramath:

Moorusaviramath is in the heart of the city Hubli, Karnataka, India. About 800 years ago, Sri Channabasavanna and his 3000 disciples stayed here for some days on their way to the pilgrimage.

ISKCON Temple:

ISKCON’s “Sri Krishna Balarama” Temple is located at Rayapur by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). The Temple shares striking similarity with the model of the Temple of ISKCON in Bangalore. Utsav Rock Garden is an indoor and outdoor sculpture museum located at Gotagodi, Shiggaon Taluk at Haveri district in Karnataka. It Utsav Rock Garden consists of life like sculptures depicting North Karnataka culture. Various murals, all which are hand-crafted are arranged in prosaic manner.

Agadi Thota:

Located just about an hour's drive to the south of Hubli is a lush 30-acre farm called Agadi Thota that gives you an insight into North Karnataka's rural life.

Karnatak University Dharwad:

Karnatak University is a state university in Dharwad district, in the state of Karnataka in India. It was established in October 1949 and officially inaugurated in March 1950.

Neerasagar Reservoir:

Neerasagar Reservoir, a source of water supply to Hubli – Dharwad is beautiful picnic spot situated close to Hubli-Dharwad.

Murugha Math:

A revered place for all the Lingayat followers. This Math imparts spirituality besides providing free boarding and Hostel facilities to thousands of needy students.

Hebich Memorial Church Dharwad:

One of the oldest church in Dharwad, established in 1845 by the Basel Missionaries. A simple yet beautiful Gothic structure with lot of open space around it. The structure is almost in its original condition.

Kittur:

Home to the historic Kittur Fort, Kittur is a popular tourist attraction in Karnataka, 50 km from Belgaum. The little town attracts scores of tourists with its grand palaces, monuments and statues. The main attraction is the Kittur Fort. Also known as Kittur Chennamma Fort, it holds immense historical significance. The fort once served as the residence of the brave ruler Rani Chennamma, who led one of the first freedom struggles of India.

Dandelli:

Located on the Western Ghats of Uttara Karnataka, Dandeli also known as the ‘Adventure Capital of South India’ is bestowed with the lush green forests and lies on the banks of the Kali river. It is renowned for its numerous fantastic adventure opportunities

Ulvi:

Ulvi temple and cave close to Dandeli is home to the most famous pilgrimage place Shri Ulavi Channabasaveshwara Temple situated in the heart of the forest and attracts lacks of tourists every year.

Supa Dam:

Supa Dam is built across Kalinadi or Kali river in state of Karnataka in India. The dam is situated at GaneshaGudi, which is in Joida taluk of Uttara Kannada district. The power house at the foot of the dam has two electricity generators of fifty megawatt each.

Lakkundi:

Lakkundi and area around has lot of temple ruins such as Mallikarjuna, Someshwara and Lakshminarayana temple. Lakkundi is a place of special interest for people with interest in architecture and history as there are as many temples and hundreds of stepped wells and dozens of inscriptions belonging to Chalukya and Hoysalas period.

Nandgad Hills:

Nandgad is a small village 75 Kms from Hubli. There is a holy cross atop a hill at the entrance of the village. Legend says – Deadly plague had been haunting the villages around Nandgad and had brought many deaths. Tired of these deadly occurring, the people here prayed and vowed to God that they would erect Christ’s cross on one of the hills. To everyone’s astonishment that the plague really disappeared and haunts them no more.

Yellamma Temple, Savadatti:

Yellamma Temple, also known as Renuka Temple, is a temple of Goddess Renuka and a pilgrimage destination located about 5 kilometers away from the town of Saundatti. It is situated on a hilltop known earlier as Siddhachal Parvat and now known as "Yellamma Gudi", named after the temple. The Temple is built in the Chalukya and Rashtrakuta Style of architecture. The carvings in the Temple indicate Jain architecture.

Yellapur:

Nestled in the thick forests of the Western Ghats in the Uttara Kannada district, Yellapur, at an elevation of 1774 feet, has wonderful waterfalls that gush down the hills into the scenic valleys. It has some of the most awesome waterfall like Sathodi Falls, Magod Falls, Vibhuti Falls, Unchalli Falls and Shirley Falls to name some.

Badami:

Badami, formerly known as Vatapi, is a town and headquarters of a taluk by the same name, in the Bagalkot district of Karnataka, India. It was the regal capital of the Badami Chalukyas from AD 540 to 757. It is famous for its rock cut structural temples.

Belur:

Belur, situated close to Badami is home to ancient Temples, such as Narayan Temple and Ishwar Temple, built by the Chalukyas

Pattadkal:

Pattadakal, formerly known as Raktapura, is a small town in the Bagalkot district of north Karnataka, India. It is famous for its UNESCO world heritage site. Pattadakal region was settled in pre-historic times, as evidence by megalithic dolmens.

Aihole:

Aihole, also referred to as Aivalli, Ahivolal or Aryapura, is a historic site of ancient and medieval era Buddhist, Hindu and Jain monuments in Karnataka, India dated from the sixth century through the twelfth century CE, though the most of the surviving monuments date from the 7th to 10th centuries.

Bijapur:

Bijapur, officially known as Vijayapura, is the district headquarters of Bijapur District of Karnataka state of India. It is also the headquarters for Bijapur Taluka. Bijapur city is well known for its historical monuments of architectural importance built during the rule of the Adil Shahi dynasty. Famous for the Gol Gumbaj the second largest dome in the world and Ibrahim Rauza which is considered to be the Taj Mahal of the Deccan

Hampi, the city of ruins, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Situated in the shadowed depth of hills and valleys in the state of Karnataka, this place is a historical delight for travelers. Sirsi:

Sirsi is a town in Uttara Kannada (North Canara) district. It is one of the best tourist destinations in the Malnad region. Here is situated the very famous for Shri Marikamba Temple which attracts large number of devotees from the states of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.

Gokak:

Gokak is also known for its old Hindu Temples. The most famous once are Mahalingeshwara temple, Savalagi Shivalinga Matha, Yogikolla temple and Duradundeshwara temple in Arabhavi. Mahalingeshwara temple is well-known and is located on the Ghataprabha Riverside near Gokak water-falls.

Gokak Falls:

Popularly known as the Niagara of India, Gokak Falls is one of the prettiest in the country. It sources its water from the Ghataprabha river, which takes a leap of 170 ft over a horseshoe-shaped sandstone cliff after a long winding course. The cliff is nestled in a picturesque gorge of the Gokak Valley.

Jog Falls:

These are the highest waterfalls in the state and the second highest plunge waterfall in Asia. One has to visit this sublime spot to even be able to imagine the roaring beauty of the Sharavati river falling in a multi-streamed plunge from the emerald green forests around the falls. The mighty falls is about 253 m high. The four different water streams into which the river splits after the initial plunge are locally referred to as Raja, Rani, Roarer and Rocket. Just behind the falls, the fierce flow of the Sharavati river is tamed by the Linganamkki Dam that stores huge amounts of the river's water.

Calangute Beach:

Calangute is a largest beach in north Goa stretching from Candolim to Baga. Due to its sheer size and popularity, it is a hub for tourists and backpackers from all over the world.

Dudhsagar Falls:

Dudhsagar Falls (literally Sea of Milk) is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River in the Indian state of Goa. One of the tallest Indian waterfalls, it has an average width of 100 feet and a height of 1017 feet.

Miramar Beach:

One of the only two beaches in Panjim, Miramar Beach is the longest beach in Goa stretching as far as 2 km. With silvery sand and palm trees, it is popular for picnics, barbecue parties, water sports and dolphin spotting cruises.

Fort Aguada:

Fort Aguada is a 17th-century Portuguese fort looking out at the confluence of Mandovi River and the Arabian Sea. The highlight of the fort is a lone four-storey lighthouse (which is one-of-its-kind in Asia) and a stunning view of the sunset.

Dona Paula:

Dona Paula is one of the most popular tourist hangouts in Goa famous for its vast stretch of beach. The small beach is also popular as the Lover's Paradise and features a jetty (Dona Paula Jetty) adjacent to it.

Chapora Fort:

Chapora Fort, located 10 km away from Mapusa, is undeniably one of the most famous forts in Goa. Built by the Portuguese in 1717, Chapora Fort has a long and fascinating history attached to it.

Church of Saint Cajetan:

Sri Mahadeva Temple:

Sri Mahadeva Temple, Tambdi Surla is one of the oldest temples in Goa to Lord Shiva. The inner sanctum of temple has a Shiva Linga mounted on a raised pedestal. There is also a statue of headless Nandi. The locals believe that there is a huge king cobra permanently sitting near the Shiva Linga.

Tiracol Fort:

Velsao Beach:

Mangeshi Temple:

Mangeshi Temple or Shri Mangueshi Temple is Lord Shiva temple located in the Mangeshi village in Ponda region of Goa. The largest and most visited temple in Goa, it is built in the honour of Bhagwan Manguesh. The 450-year old temple is known for its stunning architecture with grand domes and a magnificent water tank.

Shri Shantadurga Temple:

Shri Shantadurga Temple is one of the largest temple complexes in Goa. It is dedicated to Goddess Durga who is one of the patron deities of the Gaud Saraswat Brahmins. The temple was built around 1715 AD.

The Holy Cross Shrine:

Well known all around Goa as Fulancho Khuris i.e. Cross of Flowers in Bambolim witnesses visitors all day all night without regards to the weather. The Holy Cross Shrine stands right behind this miraculous cross. Compared to the other churches in North Goa, the Holy Cross Shrine is a more recent construct.

Shri Mahalaxmi Temple:

Shri Mahalaxmi Temple - Bandora is dedicated to Goddess Mahalakshmi with quite a unique feature - a Linga on the head of the deity. The deity was worshipped by the Silahara rulers and the Kadamba Kings.

Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary:

Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park is a 240 square kilometers protected area located in the Western Ghats India. This sanctuary contains pristine vegetation classified as West Coast tropical evergreen forests, West Coast semi-evergreen forests and moist deciduous forests.

Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary:

Named after a famous ornithologist, Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary houses the natural habitat along the River Mandovi. The sanctuary has paved walkways amidst the gorgeous estuarine mangroves that make bird watching a delightfully experience to observe the local and migratory bird species.

Caves of Khandepar:

Caves of Khandepar are four ancient rock-cut caves located in a jungle near Khandepar Village dating back roughly to the 12th century. They were discovered in 1970 and have two interconnected caves, while the other two are free standing.

Fort Aguada Jail:

Located at the bottom of Aguada Fort, Fort Aguada Jail is famous for its panoramic view, architecture and historic significance. It was once the largest jail in the state used to imprison legal offenders. but since 2015 it is open to the public as a heritage site.

A popular tourist spot. The sculpture of Saint Mirabai, a 14 meters long carving which was carved out by MJA Alavres in about 30 days is the main attraction here at the Ancestral Goa Museum. The longest laterite sculpture in India, this sculpture boasts of making its place in the Limca book of records for the same.
